Summer Reading for ALL Ages!

Hello!

This year, summer reading isn't just for the kids. The North Providence library is offering programs to both its teen and adult patrons as well, and you won't want to miss out on them!

TEENS - Make Waves @ Your Library!

  • Sign up begins Monday June 21st, and the program starts the following week on 6/28
  • Participants will receive a weekly Library Log, which looks a lot like a Bingo sheet. Each week, teens check off Bingo squares they complete, bring the log into the library and report on their participation to Liz (at the Children's desk). The more squares they complete, the more chances they have to win in a weekly raffle!
  • Books teens read or of their own choosing, not a required list. Additionally, teens get to check off squares for taking home library magazines, graphic novels, movies and music. The only requirement is that these are all library materials.
  • Additionally, programs such as a cartooning workshop and a magic workshop will be offered.
  • At the end of the summer, participants who complete all six weeks will be invited to celebrate at a luau thrown at the library, where they will receive a prize for their involvement!
ADULTS - Water Your Mind - Read!

Adults who participate in this program are asked to read a book a week - If completed, they can enter in a weekly drawing for prizes! This program will run June 28th through August 20th!

Please sign up and take advantage of this wonderful, free program for you and the family this summer!

- Liz
